55km Start Wave Time Check
Important Weather Instructions for Participants
With temperatures now forecast to reach 30°C, clear blue sky and limited breeze, we are taking precautionary steps to help protect runner safety. All participants should read the following updates carefully.
Start Time Changes
25K Trail start times have been moved forward to start from 10:00am (previously 11:00am).\ All 25K wave start times are now 1 hour earlier.
Please arrive in time to allow for number collection, kit checks and a prompt start.
Allocated 55K Ultra wave start times remain unchanged.
Dropping Down from the 55K Ultra
If you are currently entered into the 55K ultra but wish to drop down to the 25K trail, you must email support@beyondtrails.co.uk by 10:00am on Friday 20th June. You will be allocated the same wave number with a new start time and start location. 25k Waves will start from 10am- 12.00pm. You will still receive your 55K finisher medal.
Please only contact us if you would like to drop down from the 55K to the 25K - there’s no need to confirm if you’re continuing as planned.
Hot Weather Safety – Mandatory Hot Weather Kit
All runners must bring and carry the mandatory hot weather kit. Spot checks will be carried out at the start line. See the event guide (Pg.9) here for details.
Hydration & Electrolytes
In the heat, staying hydrated is critical. VOOM recommend 400–800ml of fluid per hour, and 300–800mg of electrolytes per hour. Electrolyte drinks such as Hydrate Smart deliver 460mg per 500ml and hydrate up to 40% faster than water alone. Other sources include bananas, salted snacks, and VOOM Pocket Rocket Electro Energy.
VOOM Hydration Electrolyte Drinks will be available at all feed stations.
Adjust Your Effort
We are encouraging all participants to take it easy, adjust your pace, and listen to your body. There is no shame in slowing down or stopping at shops along the way if needed.

Richmond Park entry point: 18:30.
If You Need to Withdraw on Event Day
Once you have started on Saturday if you need to withdraw from the event you MUST either call Event Control or inform a marshal of your intention to retire. We will need to take your details and note any issues so that we know you are accounted for.
